A: This is a personal blog to record my experiences of going through medical school. At the moment, it serves as a place for me to write and express my thoughts on medicine. In the future, I hope to develop the site into something more, a community where medicine can truly be open source. Where doctors, nurses, patients and anyone can see the workings of the medical field and can contribute to improving it. Where people can put up articles on how to be admitted to medical school, survive medical school, and how to improve patient care. A place where people can share their opinions and present facts about how health care should be run. A place where people all over the world can collaborate and come up with a medicine that is more than the sum of its parts.
A: That would be me, the medical student who runs the site. I am in my early twenties currently attending a Canadian medical school, so for the most part for now, I will be writing about medical education. Though that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in health care and bedside manners.
A: I decide to hide my identity for several purposes. One is that by leaving my identity anonymous all the articles I write will be judged by the content and not by the author. Furthermore, the concept of open source is that anyone can contribute. I don’t want this site to be just about me. I want it to be something bigger, a place where everyone can contribute their ideas and thoughts.
